i went to my normal farming spot when we got hard mode to check the drops, and it has proven to be a decent spot to get ranger tomes. - so far i've pulled 2 elite and 7 normal ranger tomes in about 2-3 hours of farming there.

i've been going around to other boss's of different classes, that are quick to get to , but after a few hours with each boss haven't turned up any tomes. - that's when i figured that a thread where we can tell each other good places to get tomes would help us all.

I've been running the Show of Power LB farming on HM for two days and got two necro elites and two elementalist elite tomes for my trouble. Oh and a whole lot of golds from locked chests along the way ^^

I've found a few tomes Chest Running in hard mode at various places.

basically farm the profession u want the tome from
so if ur looking for war tomes (farm warriors)
monk tomes, farm monks, etc...

All in hard mode

that's what i thought at first too, but i spent about an hour and a half farming Dunshek the Purifier and another hour and a half on Vahlen the Silent and not a single tome drop - where as fastfoot and his mob in the link above was droping them about every 5th trip out.

i started with these two because they are quick to get too, and the wurms makes it easier to take em down fast. two of my guldies tried farming the el boss outside of kam, and then the 1 that has searing flames - and nothing from either of those as well.

so it seems that some boss's have a better chance of droping tomes then others, hence why i started this thread.

The A/E Silver solo could farm bosses for Greens and Elite tomes.

P.S; anyone know where I can find Lots of Mesmer foe to farm, I kinda need lotsa Me tomes.

There is a boss spawn just outside Sardelac Sanitarium
It can be killed easily without dealing with other mobs. Tho I haven't got any tome from him yet

If he uses an Elite he can drop a elite tome

Nar don't bother with them, both are eliteless, and I spent ahour testing almost 75 runs, no tomes. They are tome less. But mind you a Victors spoil 55 can kill both
Flint touchstone and Cobble Poundstone easy as, but no tomes

I've tried farming all the bosses outside sunspear great hall for at least an hour each, no tomes to show for it. The large groups of spiders are cake for a 55 build, though

I pulled an elite warriors tome off Cobble Poundstone this morning. You were just unlucky.

If thats true I'm guessing the drop rates are so low its not worth it.

Well ive killed well over 70 bosses and havent got any elite tomes from them, but ive got 2 from chest.

Which bosses do you kill and what build are you using? 55hp monkey of 55hp necro?
